The Maltese Archipelago of Malta, Gozo & Comino are all year round Islands for divers. In the Spring and Summer the sea temperature will normally rise to around a maximum of 25 degrees Centigrade and from November to March will gradually fall but rarely going below 14 degrees Centigrade. In stormy weather these islands can still offer a sufficient number of sheltered, interesting dive sites. The islands have fortunately retained their natural state due, to a large extent to the sea & it's fauna.
The Islands offer a well developed infrastructure for divers & a number of Maltese diving centres have organized themselves into the Association of Professional Diving Centres. Dive equipment can be hired so it is not necessary to take along all your own equipment. A diver who wishes to dive independently has to present a qualification certificate at a dive centre equivalent at lease to a CMAS 2*/BSAC sports diver/PADI Advanced & complete a self certified medical form.
The following table gives an idea of the typical temperatures on land & sea you could expect.
